5 Tips to Maximize Your Social Media

As a business owner, it is hard to succeed online without creative content that engages your target audience. If you are a new business, you need to spend time developing engaging content as well as gain new audience members by it.

Here are 5 easy, but overlooked tactics you can use to build engaging online content:

Reuse Your Content

Reuse Your Content

Often times a business will post their content once, let it run it's course and forget about it. Reuse what has worked. Look at your analytics and see why that image or post got the attention it did. Was it more personal, was it a good time of day, was it trending? All reasons to reuse the content and learn from their results.
Keep it Visual

Keep it Visual

Visual content can act as a “gateway” to more valuable content. When planning visual content to post on social platforms, think in terms of how it can drive traffic back to your website, products and services. Blogging is a great way to drive traffic back to your website, but it is always more likely to be engaged upon if there is a compelling photo or image attached to it.

Hashtag Strategically

While your own hashtag is great to use and to establish your new brand, try using common hashtags that will result in your content as well. For example if I ran a flower shop, I would add #flowers to my posts along with my main business hashtag. Try it and see if you gain any new attention.
Be Cosistent

Deliver Content Consistently

One of the best ways to grow your following and increase engagement on social media is to be there consistently. The first step is to put the right systems in place to keep your posts relevant, interesting and valuable for your audience. If you post to Facebook, you should be sharing that content across the board and on Twitter, Instagram, Google, etc. However you should be aware of your audience. If it doesn't seem to fit your Twitter following, save it for your Instagram.
Dont Overthink It

Don't Overthink!

Don't think of it as a "blog" but as an extension of your service list. What do you promote about your business on your services page of your website? Half of your work is done. Expand upon what you already have for content. Keep it short and don't over think it, or you will never hit "publish."
